Data Engineer - Risk Applications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and data pipelines.
• Support data integration, transformation, and delivery processes.
• Implement solutions using Java, Scala, or Python.
• Work within Agile development teams using tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Jira.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure performance of data systems.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to system documentation.

Skills

• 4–10 years of experience in backend development or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Java or Scala (ability to work with both is preferred).
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work with both legacy and modern systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in regulatory or risk-related systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
